Training Program

Revised January 29, 2007

This training outline is designed for RRAMSAR, a SAR ATV and Snowmobile Team. RRAMSAR intends to use instructors within its membership to teach Training Modules. Where RRAMSAR instructors are not qualified, RRAMSAR will seek out the best instructors available from outside sources to train its members.

In addition RRAMSAR will meet and exceed the levels of training required by WAC 118-04, RCW 38.52 and the Pierce County Emergency Worker Standards for Search and Rescue dated September 27, 1988 as adopted by the Pierce County SAR Council. RRAMSAR will also meet and exceed the level of training required by SARVAC for out of county missions as they relate to RRAMSAR's disciplines.

RRAMSAR's training consists of Training Modules that are divided into Training Elements. This is the best way to track training progress so we can ensure our member's receive the highest level of training possible. This system also allows the flexibility to expand our training to meet growing needs.
